How to measure and establish the hydraulic connection between two wells fractures ?

Nagaré’s groundwater flux technology enables us to identify existing connections between fractures in several wells.

How can this be done?

Simply by looking what happens in the well in terms of groundwater flux when a pump is activated in a neighboring well.

Step 1: Set up groundwater flux measurement within a specific interval of well B1.

Step 2: Once the flux measurement has stabilized at well B1, pumping is activated in the well with which you wish to know the connection, B2.

Step 3: If a change in the current groundwater flux measurement at B1 is observed, this means that the fracture is directly connected with the B2 well where the pump is active. If not, there is no direct hydraulic connection.
